Seeking Seed Investment

If it runs on your device,
you shouldn't pay rent to use it.

We build software that lives where it belongs — on your device. Private. One-time purchase or free. No subscriptions, no data collection, no ads. Ever.

Software stopped working for people.

The tech industry has turned every tool into a toll booth. Users don't own anything — they rent access to their own productivity, their own data, their own lives.

01

The Subscription Trap

Software that once cost $50 now costs $15/month forever. Miss a payment and your data disappears. Users are paying rent on tools they need to function — with no end in sight.

02

The Surveillance Tax

"Free" apps aren't free — they mine your personal data to sell to advertisers. Your menstrual cycle, your voice recordings, your browsing habits — all monetized without your meaningful consent.

03

The Cloud Dependency

Your phone has more computing power than the machines that sent humans to the moon, yet modern apps insist on routing everything through someone else's server. Why?

It Was 1997 — and the Future Was Bright

AND IT WAS, you could literally feel it quivering in the air.

The promised land was within reach, and technology would be our bridge.

You should have seen it, I absolutely believed it when I stood in Steve Jobs's reality distortion field, if you were there then you absolutely knew it!

It was going to make us more connected, make less work for everyone, give us OUR time to be with our families and art and life. We had, in that which was tantamount to humankind's greatest achievement, a path to be free and for us to be us!

We at Digital Disconnections aim to write that software that gives us our time back, to be with our kids, our friends, our loved ones–to create art, to be humans doing the things we've always wished we could.

AI has created the space to achieve truly customized solutions to our problems that fully solve the task they are designed for and without charging us rent merely to exist.

Software that respects its owner.

Four principles guide everything we build. No exceptions. No compromises.

🔒

Privacy by Default

Your data never leaves your device. We don't want it. We don't collect it. Period.

Device Autonomy

If software runs on your phone, you own the right to use it freely. Your device, your rules.

💰

One-Time or Free

Pay once and it's yours forever. Or get it free. We don't charge rent for software you rely on.

🚫

No Ads. Ever.

We believe in software, not surveillance capitalism. Our products are ad-free by principle, not by premium tier.

Four products. One mission.

Built from the ground up with one principle: what runs on your device belongs to you.

Post-Roe Privacy Demand

After the Dobbs decision, menstrual tracking apps became a flashpoint for data privacy. Women are actively seeking apps that don't collect or share their health data. Cara directly addresses this urgent, underserved need.

On-Device AI Is the Future

Apple, Google, and Qualcomm are racing to put AI processors in every device. But their assistants still send everything to the cloud. The market is ready for a truly private alternative built for the hardware people already own.

Engineers who believe technology should serve people.

A team united by a shared conviction that software should empower, not extract.
